Restore Affordable Water Announces First Round of Endorsements

Reform-minded candidates will bring truth, transparency, and accountability to the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District.

CONROE, Texas — Today Restore Affordable Water (RAW) annoucned the first round of endorsements supporting four candidates for the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD): Jim Spigener for Place 2, Jon Paul Bouche for Place 3, Harry Hardman for Place 5, and former Conroe Mayor Webb Melder for Place 6.

RAW President Simon Sequeira stated, “We are proud to endorse these candidates who will fight to restore truth, transparency, and accountability to LSGCD and look forward to a spirited debate on the issues impacting the citizens of Montgomery County.”

RAW will devote substantial resources spreading information about the reforms necessary to transform the LSGCD and the candidates committed to such actions..

Additionally, RAW is launching a campaign highlighting the records of the two incumbent board members that have continually opposed reform efforts: Rick Moffatt and Gregg Hope.  RAW has now endorsed candidates running against both of them.  These long time incumbent board members are part of the problem, not the solution.

RAW would also like to congratulate Stuart Traylor for Place 1 who is a reform candidate who drew no opposition on the ballot.  RAW looks forward to working with Traylor to reform LSGCD for the people of Montgomery County.
